At The Gay and Sober Project, our mission is to help provide education, resources, and support to those in the Southern Arizona LGBTQ+ Recovery Community.
We organize social events and activities for those in recovery in our community to get together and help support and learn from each other. Bowling and Softball Leagues, Camping Excursions, and Movie nights are just a few ideas.
We sponsor and provide information about SMART Recovery and 12 Step Meetings that are specifically geared for the LGBTQ+ community.
Please join our Facebook Group and Chat and Instagram Page.
At some point in the near future, we would like to open transitional housing that specifically addresses the needs of the homeless population in the LGBTQ Recovery Community.
We would also like to provide referrals to treatment centers and mental health professionals who work with LGBTQ clients.
Each year we run an annual food and clothing drive during the holiday season. Clothing is distributed to those in treatment facilities who don't have enough or are in need of clothing.
Volunteers are essential to the success of our non profit organization. We offer a variety of opportunities for individuals and groups to get involved and make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
Your donation can make a huge difference in the lives of those wanting to live free from the chains of alcohol and substance abuse.
